HOW WE SOLD REAL-ESTATE MID-PANDEMIC

Hello everyone and welcome to another “Sold Story”!

Today, our story revolves largely around the current pandemic. Our seller was a young woman who had bought a house before selling her old one prior to the pandemic. This is not usually recommended, but based on previous years, she had thought this would be a good enough season within the real estate market to not worry. But just as she settled out the details of her purchase, Canada went into a social distancing lockdown. 

Confirmed cases for the Coronavirus began to accumulate, people stayed isolated at home, and traffic for property buyers dropped. 

This client had her old house listed for over a monthelsewhere with a different realtor.  Tensions from the pandemic rose and with each passing day that her house did not sell, she too began to grow panicked.

Amidst a global pandemic and in a race with time, we were able to have her home relisted and sold at 99% of the original asking price within the week.
